(Hereinafter called the editor) of the one part, and IAHR, Paseo Bajo Virgen del Puerto 3, 28005 Madrid, Spain (Hereinafter called the publisher) of the other part. Whereas it is mutually agreed between the parties hereto for themselves, their respective executors, administrators or successors, as the case may be and whereas the Editor is the editor of an unpublished work (consisting of a number of contributions) entitled
Coastlab 2008 Proceedings
(hereinafter called the Work and Contributions respectively) which the Editor desires the Publisher to publish, now it is agreed as follows:
  1. The copyright of each Contribution is to be transferred by the respective author(s) to the Publisher, and the Editor warrants that he has not made any assignment of, or granted any licence in respect of, any of the rights in the Work comprised in this Agreement.
  2. The Editor warrants to the Publisher that to the best of his Knowledge and belief the Work does not in any way infringe any existing copyright, that it does not contain anything of a defamatory or scandalous character, and that to the best of the Editor's knowledge and belief all statements purporting to be facts are as true and as accurate as it is possible for the Editor to verify, and that he will indemnify the Publisher against any loss or damage, including any legal costs or expenses incurred should the above warranty not be complied with, due to bad faith or gross negligence on the part of the Editor.
  3. The Publisher shall have the sole and exclusive right to print and publish the Work, or part of the Work, in book and electronic form in any part of the world and in any language subject to the terms of this Agreement. For this purpose the Editor transfers the copyright in the Work to the Publisher.

  6. The Publisher shall cause to be printed and shall publish the Work in an edition of 200 copies as soon as reasonably possible after the complete Work has been provided by the Editor.
