Polytechnic University of Bari is the only Politechnic University in South Italy. Since 2001, a large coastal laboratory (LIC) is operative inside the University. A technical visit at the Laboratory will be held during the conference.

Also, from a tourist and cultural viewpoint, we are pleased to invite you and accompanying persons to Bari, which is the capital of Apulia region, also known as the heel of Italy, surrounded by Adriatic and Jonian sea, with more than 800 km of coastline.

Among the most beautiful monuments of the Old Town, the Basilica of St. Nicholas, visited every year by many pilgrims coming from all over Europe, and the Cathedral, both examples Romanesque architecture in Apulia.
All of the Apulia Region is rich of important monuments (Castles, churches, “Trulli” of Alberobello, etc), natural beauty (grottos of Castellana, beaches, Ostuni village, etc.) and art.
According with the number of participants, a program for accompanying persons will be planned.
