Massimo Ruiu Exhibition “The enlightened words of the fish, from Ustica to Francesco Padre”
Paintings, installations, photos and drawings: Massimo Ruiu displays at the Vedetta in Giovinazzo, until August 31st.
The exhibition, supervised by Lia De Venere and Nicolò Carminio, takes inspiration from the sea and from the denial of history.
The aim is to make one reflect upon 2 tragedies in which the sea is the protagonist: the disaster of Ustica and the explosion that destroyed the Francesco Padre (a fishing boat) along the Montenegrin coast.
Using as intellectuals guides Montale, Calvino, Conrad, Leopardi, Balzac and Yourcenar, Ruiu investigates these tragedies from a particular point of view, that of the fish, accidental witness and powerless of the adverse fate of those who, in those events, lost their lives.

Ludovico Einaudi in concert
Here’s something jazz lovers just can’t miss!
Saturday, June 28th Ludovico Einaudi will be in Alberobello , the famous city of the trulli.
In particular, in the most famous one called “Trullo Sovrano” , an UNESCO heritage.
Here the outstanding pianist known worldwide will exhibit all of his repertoire, which cannot be confined in the rigid schematisms of only one kind.
Ludovico Einaudi has become a spokesman of a new idea of music: chamber music, orchestra, theater music, and sound tracks, each time the improvisation becomes the artist’s imprint.
Improvisation which rhymes with introspection: even if there is a blend of styles, even if there is a vague cue of each “piece” , up to the point that the notes burst out from the harshness of the traditional piece ,from the beginning to the end, the spectator takes the opportunity to meditate.
In this way music makes you reflect, every note becomes averse, every piece is internalized.
The outcome is guaranteed: the astonishment of the audience.
